The short version

• The numbers you type into a calculator never leave your device. All calculations run in your browser.
• No account, email address or payment information is required to use anything on this site.
• The only third-party services are Google Analytics and, once enabled, Google AdSense.

Calculator inputs

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Values you enter (income, balances, rates, home prices) are held in your browser's memory for as long as the page is open and are never transmitted to this site's servers or to any third party.

Closing or reloading the page clears them. Nothing is saved to local storage, cookies or a database.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck. It records aggregate information such as pages viewed, approximate geographic region derived from IP address, device type, browser and referring site.

IP anonymisation is enabled. Analytics data is not linked to any personal identity, and calculator inputs are never sent to analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on, or block it with any content blocker.

Advertising

This site is supported by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, the hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build user profiles.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. No personal information is knowingly collected from children.

Your rights

Because this site does not collect personal information directly, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete on request. For data held by Google through Analytics or AdSense, Google's privacy controls govern access and deletion. Individuals in the EEA, UK, Switzerland and California have specific statutory rights over personal data; enquiries can be sent to the address on the Contact page.
